3 Terrorist Bombs Explode Near Russian Molokans
2001 March 24 -- Stavropol'skii krai, Russia -- Three bomb-stuffed cars exploded almost simultaneously Saturday, killing at least 23 people and injuring more than 150 in the worst act of terror to hit Russia outside warring Chechnya in months. The affected towns of Mineral Waters and Essentuki have no Molokan churches, but many Molokans live and work there, and 1000s of Molokans live in adjacent towns with Molokan churches. The last bombings were in nearby Piatigorsk last December. A Molokan in Yessentuki who lives 3 blocks from that blast reports by phone that her house shook so hard that their pots and pans fell off the wall hooks.New Reports:
