Molokans are leaving Geranboi

Количество проживающих в селе Русские Борисы Геранбойского района молокан (русских) продолжает снижаться. Как сообщил АПА глава исполнительной власти Геранбойского района Новруз Новрузов, в настоящее время в вышеназванном селе осталось 70 молоканских семей. По словам Н.Новрузова, они продают свои дома и хозяйства и переезжают в Россию: “Для ведения хозяйства оставшимся здесь молоканам оказывается помощь. Если они переезжают добровольно, то мы не можем их насильно удерживать”.
 The quantity of life continues to decline for Molokans (Russians) in the village Russkie Borisy, Geranboi region. As reported to the APA [Azeri news agency] by the Chief Executive of the Geranboi region, Novruz Novruzov, presently 70 Molokan families remain in the village named above. According to N. Novruzov, they are selling their houses and possessions and crossing into Russia: "Aid is given to  Molokans who stay to maintain their households. If they voluntarily move, then we cannot keep them by force."
Следует отметить, что село Русские Борисы было основано в середине XIX века. Жители села — потомки тех молокан, которые во времена царской империи были сосланы в Азербайджан. It should be noted that the village Russkie-Borisy was founded in the mid-1800s [1842]. The inhabitants of the village are descendants of those Molokans, who in the times of the Tsarist empire were exiled into Azerbaijan.
